After several very successful years travelling to the Isle of Wight for our weekend dance breaks we are now changing our weekend venue to TLH at Torquay. No weekend planned for 2019 but we have booked the big ballroom at Torquay for weekend 26th June 2020.

In May we ran a very successful dance in aid of TALK, a local charity raising money for Recovering Stroke Victims. Martin and his band played some great jive music and with ballroom/latin mix, there was a whole range of dancing. We raised 650 pounds for the charity.

Thank you to all those who joined us on the Isle of Wight. It was a fantastic weekend and my thanks also to Thierry Gaulthier, Emma Brazier, Jo & Simon Ridley and Sue Kelly for teaching workshops and to DJ is Simon Ridley. An added attraction was the Firework Display which we were able to watch from the comfort of the dining room. The weather was great too for November. Looking forward to planning the next break, who knows where.

Night & Day were proud to be involved in a dance to celebrate the life of much loved dancer Graham 'Cuban Fury' Hughes who sadly died earlier this year. Several dance organisations all got together to create this event with 6 DJ's over 5 hours - 2 dance floors, fantastic buffet and generous raffle prizes. Dancers were incredibly generous with their time and money and we raised over £2,000 for Macmillan.

Night & Day Dance now support the local Air Ambulance Services. We no longer continue to sponsor the village in India which we have supported for the last 6 and a half years. www.worldvision.org.uk
We are also pleased to be sponsoring a Guide dog called Bella. She is gorgeous and is our 6th Guide dog. Dotty failed at the last hurdle as she was too busy watching butterflies but Sparkle went on the become a fully fledged Guide Dog. Freddie also completed his course to become a Guide Dog. Sadly Domino failed to make the grade as he got too distracted by other dogs. Zia became a fully fledged Guide Dog earlier this year. www.guidedogs.org.uk/
During the last couple of years we have also donated over £1,400 to Macmillan charity plus money to Help the Heroes. We have also made donations to pay for 2 children to go to school and to buy vegetables and farming tools for 2 families in Myanamar. We bought a therapy bench for a local girl age 2 who has CASK syndrome. This will help her to walk. Additionally we have given money to Royal Marsden and Red Cross and other small local charities. As ever Christmas money is donated to Homeless Charities. This year we are supporting YMCA Merton charity.
We raised £1,020 for Melody at our charity dance in Lingfield. This money helped the family to have a wheelchair ramp fitted at their Surrey home. Our most recent charity dance was in aid of TALK, a local charity helping Recovering Stroke Victims.
The money for these sponsorships comes from your entry fee to our classes so we are very grateful to you for enabling us to do this.

Night & Day held our 2015 Charity Dance once again in the beautiful setting of Herons Bonsai, near Lingfield. Thanks as ever to Peter Chan for his generosity.
John Vassallo brought his magic to the dance floor again with great music mix of jive, latin, rock ' roll and ballroom.
Our charity fund is for Melody, a young local 3 year old child with the rare CASK syndrome. See Melody Maker on Facebook. We were very pleased that Melody and her parents were able to join us for the event so that everyone could see what a fantastic cause they were contributing to.
The weather was great for the day and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our Charity dance in Japanese Gardens near Lingfield raised over £1,120.
All proceeds go to www.readycharity.org
Despite constant rain for weeks beforehand, the skies cleared at 1.30 pm and the sun shone most of the afternoon. We danced to jive, latin, ballroom and rock 'n roll music and there was tea, coffee, cake and fruit in the greenhouse area.
Thank you to teachers Thierry Gauthier from Simplyleroc and Abbie Ellis from Night and Day Dance for teaching a fun jive class.
We would also like to thank Peter Chan from Herons Bonsai for the kind use of his venue. It is a beautiful place and we really appreciate the chance to hold a dance here.
Our previous charity dance at Woodmansterne in October was sold out and raised £600. Thank you to all those who supported us.
We will keep you posted when we are going to have our next dance.
